Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠ِنْ أَيْنَ أَدْخُلُ ٠َكَّةَ وَقَدْ جِئْتُ ٠َدِينَةِ فَقَالَ ادْخُلْ ٠َكَّةَ وَإِذَا خَرَجْتَ تُرِيدُ الْ٠َدِينَةَ فَاخْرُجْ ٠1.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya’qub who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘From which point should I enter Makkah when coming from al-Madinah?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Enter from the upper side of Makkah and leave it from its lower part.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/8))
