Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn âIsa from Ibrahim ibn âUmar al-Yemaniy from âIsmaâil ibn âAbd al- Khaliq who has said the following: âI was next to abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), and with him (the Imam) was his son âAbd Allah and his other son born after him.
A man asked him (the Imam), âMay Allah keep you well, can a man perform Tawaf for a man who lives in Makkah and who has no difficulties?â He (the Imam) said, âNo, if that was permissible I would have asked my son so and soâ - mentioned the name of the smaller one - âto perform Tawaf on my behalfâ- children were listening.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (8/49))
