Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Rare Ahadith about Tawaf 13ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠َرْأَةِ تَطُوفُ بِالصَّبِيِّ وَتَسْعَى بِهِ هَلْ يُجْزِئُ ذَلِكَ عَنْهَا وَعَنِ الصَّبِيِّ فَقَالَ نَعَ٠13.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtariy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman who performs Tawaf with a child and Sa‘y between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah; if this is sufficient for her Tawaf also. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is sufficient.’” (Ahadith 11-13 are best explained in the form of fatwa).
