Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Using the Meat of the Offering for Food, Giving as Charity and Taking Out of Mina 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ وَصَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠َرَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) حِينَ نَحَرَ أَنْ تُؤْخَذَ ٠ِنْ كُلِّ بَدَنَةٍ حُذْوَةٌ ٠َّ تُطْرَحَ فِي بُرْ٠َّ تُطْبَخَ وَأَكَلَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَعَلِيٌّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠ِنْهَا وَحَسَوَا ٠1.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr Muhammad ibn ‘Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr and from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, commanded to take a share from the meat of each badanah, then cook it in a pot.

The Messenger of Allah and Ali ‘Alayhim al-Salam, ate from the meat and sipped the broth thereof.” حسن كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/180))
