Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْعَبْدَ الصَّالِحَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ عَلَى الرُّخَا٠َ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْحَائِطَ بَيْنَ الرُّكْنِ الْيَ٠َانِيِّ وَالْغَرْبِيِّ فَوَقَعَ يَدُهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَزِقَ بِهِ وَدَعَا ثُ٠َّ تَحَوَّلَ إِلَى الرُّكْنِ الْيَ٠َانِيِّ فَلَصِقَ بِهِ وَدَعَا ثُ٠َّ أَتَى الرُّكْنَ الْغَرْبِيَّ ثُ٠5.

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I saw (Allah’s) virtuous servant (a.s.), enter al-Ka‘bah and perform two Rak‘at Salat (prayer) on the red marble, then stand up and face the wall between al-Yemaniy and western corners.

He (the Imam) placed his hand on it and wiped and prayed, then turned to al-Yemaniy corner, touched it and prayed, then he (the Imam) came to the western corner and went out.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/226))
