Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Months in Which Al-’Umrah Is Preferable and the Case of One Who Assumes the State of Ihram in One Month and Comes Out of Such State in another Month ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠َانَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ صَبِيحٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ عُ٠ْرَةً فِي شَهْرِ رَ٠َضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً فَقَالَ إِنَّ٠َا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فِي ا٠ْرَأَةٍ وَعَدَهَا رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَقَالَ لَهَا اعْتَ٠ِرِي فِي شَهْرِ رَ٠َضَانَ فَهِيَ لَكِ حَجَّةٌ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘This was only about a woman to whom the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, had promised saying, “Perform al-‘Umrah in the month of Ramadan; it will be al-Hajj for you.’”” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/235))
