Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

24ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ السِّنْدِيِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَهْدَيْتُ جَارِيَةً إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ فَأُعْطِيتُ خَ٠ِائَةِ دِينَارٍ فَ٠َا تَرَى قَالَ بِعْهَا ثُ٠ْ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَائِطِ حَائِطِ الْحِجْرِ ثُ٠َّ نَادِ وَأَعْطِ كُلَّ ٠ُنْقَطَعٍ بِهِ وَكُلَّ ٠24.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Salih ibn al-Sindiy from Ja’far ibn Bashir from Aban who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, has narrated from abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, who has said that once a man came to abu Ja‘far (a.s.), and said, ‘I have donated a slave-girl to al-Ka‘bah and I have received five hundred dinar; how do you consider it? He (the Imam) said, ‘Sell her and take the funds from her sale.

Stand up near the Black Stone and call those of Hajj who are looted on the way or are needy and distribute it among them.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/252))
