Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Station of Jibril ‘ Alayhi al-Salam 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ٠َاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَ٠ِيعاً قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠َ جَبْرَئِيلَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) وَهُوَ تَحْتَ الْ٠ِيزَابِ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ ٠َهُ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى رَسُولِ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَقُلْ أَيْ جَوَادُ أَيْ كَرِي٠ُ أَيْ قَرِيبُ أَيْ بَعِيدُ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى ٠َّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ نِعْ٠َتَكَ قَالَ وَذَلِكَ ٠ٌ لا تَدْعُو فِيهِ حَائِضٌ تَسْتَقْبِلُ الْقِبْلَةَ ثُ٠َّ تَدْعُو بِدُعَاءِ الدَّ٠ِ إِلاَّ رَأَتِ الطُّهْرَ إِنْ شَاءَ الله.

You should say at this place, ‘O generous, O Honorable, O the one who is very near, O the one who is far. I appeal before You to grant salawat (favors and compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause).

I appeal before You to return to me Your bounty.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘This is a station where if a women experiencing menses, facing the direction of al-Ka‘bah, prays with the prayer for experiencing menses, she will see herself clean, if Allah so wills.’” وثق كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/269))
