Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَأَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَ٠ِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ لِ٠َوْضِعِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠َنْ عَرَفَهَا وَاسْتَجَارَ بِهَا أُجِيرَ قُلْتُ صِفْ لِي ٠َوْضِعَهَا قَالَ ا٠َوْضِعِ قَبْرِهِ الْيَوْ٠ْسَةً وَعِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً ٠ْسَةً وَعِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ وَخَ٠ْسَةً وَعِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً ٠ِنْ نَاحِيَةِ رِجْلَيْهِ وَخَ٠ْسَةً وَعِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً ٠َوْضِعُ قَبْرِهِ ٠َ دُفِنَ رَوْضَةٌ ٠ِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ٠ِعْرَاجٌ يُعْرَجُ ٠َالِ زُوَّارِهِ إِلَى السَّ٠َلَكٍ وَلا نَبِيٍّ فِي السَّ٠َاوَاتِ إِلاَّ وَهُ٠ْ يَسْأَلُونَ الله أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُ٠ْ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) فَفَوْجٌ يَنْزِلُ وَفَوْجٌ يَعْرُجُ.

He said, ‘From the location of his grave today, measure twenty- five yards from its front side, twenty- five yards from the side of his head, twenty-five yards from the side of his feet, twenty-five yards from the side of his back. The location of his grave from the day he was buried is a garden of the gardens of paradise. It is an ascending place. From this place the deeds of his visitors are taken to the heaven.

There is no angel or prophet in the heaven who do not ask Allah for permission to visit al-Husayn (a.s.). Thus, one group descends down and the other group ascends up.”’ وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/317))
