Hamid ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Khashshab from ibn Baqqah from Muâadh ibn Thabit from âAmr ibn Jumayâ who has said the following: âAbu â Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about challenging (to fight the enemy) while standing between the two confronting armies after the permission of the Imam.
He (the Imam) said, âIt is fine but it must not take place without the permission of the Imam.ââ ضعÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (18/363))
