Al-Kāfi - The Book of Jihad (Serving in the Army) Chapter: Chapter 15(a) - Distribution of the Properties Captured from the Enemy َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِشَا٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الأعْرَابِ عَلَيْهِ٠ْ جِهَادٌ قَالَ لا إِلا أَنْ يُخَافَ عَلَى الإسْلا٠ِ فَيُسْتَعَانَ بِهِ٠ِنَ الْجِزْيَةِ شَيْ‏ءٌ قَالَ لا.

He replied, "No, unless there is a fear for Islam, in which case they can be sought for assistance." I then asked, "Do they receive any part of the jizya (tribute)?" He said, "No." صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/382))
