Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Meticulous Effort to Make a Living َّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَ٠ِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُتْعِبٍ نَفْسَهُ ٠ُقْتَرٍ عَلَيْهِ وَ٠ُقْتَصِدٍ فِي الطَّلَبِ قَدْ سَاعَدَتْهُ الْ٠6.

Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad in a marfu’ manner the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘There is many a soul who tires itself (by work) and lives stringently. On the other hand there are those who moderately seek their sustenance; and measures favorably assist them/” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/27))
