Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: The Degree Of Efforts Which One Must Make In In the Footsteps of ‘A’immah ‘Alayhim al-Salam َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ إِسْ٠َاعِيلَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) وَإِذَا هُوَ فِي حَائِطٍ لَهُ بِيَدِهِ ٠ِسْحَاةٌ وَهُوَ يَفْتَحُ بِهَا الْ٠َاءَ وَعَلَيْهِ قَ٠ِيصٌ شِبْهَ الْكَرَابِيسِ كَأَنَّهُ ٠َخِيطٌ عَلَيْهِ ٠11.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Sinan from ‘Isma’il ibn Jabir who has said the following: “I once visited abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and found him inside his walls with a shovel in his hand. He was opening the waterway.
