Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Earning Lawful kind of Sustenance َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ ٠َّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى جَ٠َّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الثَّانِي (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ نَظَرَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) إِلَى رَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ اللهُ٠َّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ ٠ِنْ رِزْقِكَ الْحَلالِ فَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) سَأَلْتَ قُوتَ النَّبِيِّينَ قُلِ اللهُ٠َّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقاً وَاسِعاً طَيِّباً ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad and Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa all from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad from abu al-Hassan, al-Thani, who has said the following: “Once abu Ja‘far (a.s.), looked at a man who said, ‘O Lord, I pray to You to grant me lawful sustenance.’ Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), said, ‘You have asked of the kind of sustenance of the prophets.
