Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hassan from Jaâfar ibn Muhammad ibn Hakim from Jamil ibn Darraj from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: âAbu Jaâfar (a.s.), has said, âThe debt of an absent person is paid from his assets when enough proof is presented to prove his indebtedness. His assets are sold to make necessary payments in his absence and he faces the proof against him.
One who has presented proofs receives payments upon providing guarantee and security, if he does not want to wait.ââ ضعÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (19/56))
