Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Consuming the Properties of Orphans َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ ذُبْيَانَ بْنِ حَكِي٠ٍ الأوْدِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْ٠ُغِيرَةِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) إِنَّ لِيَ ابْنَةَ أَخٍ يَتِي٠َا أُهْدِيَ لَهَا الشَّيْ‏ءُ فَ‏آكُلُ ٠ُهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الشَّيْ‏ءَ ٠َالِي فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ هَذَا بِهَذَا فَقَالَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠5.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Dhubyan ibn Hakim al-Awdiy from Ali ibn al-Mughirah who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘I have an orphan girl of my brother. At certain times gifts are given to her and I eat a certain amount thereof.

Thereafter I feed her a certain amount from my properties and I say, “O Lord, this is for what I have used.” He (the Imam) (a.s.), said, ‘It is not harmful.”’ جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/96))
