Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Buying and Selling Fruits َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سَ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ إِسْ٠َاعِيلَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّ٠َرَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُدْرِكَ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ فِي تِلْكَ الأرْضِ بَيْعٌ لَهُ غَلَّةٌ قَدْ أَدْرَكَتْ فَبَيْعُ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ حَلالٌ.

‘Is it permissible to buy fruits before they are formed?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘If in that area such deals are made and they are profitable which is achieved then there is no offense in such transaction.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (19/174))
