Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Selling a Slave Who Owns Property ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَأَحْ٠ِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ عَنْ ٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ بَاعَ ٠ْلُوكاً فَوَجَدَ لَهُ ٠َالا قَالَ فَقَالَ الْ٠َالُ لِلْبَائِعِ إِنَّ٠َا بَاعَ نَفْسَهُ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ شَرَطَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّ ٠َتَاعٍ فَهُوَ لَهُ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Such assets belong to the seller; he has sold the slave’s person unless it is a condition in the contract of sale that says that whatever assets are there, they belong to him.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/241))
