Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Selling a Slave Who Owns Property َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ عَنْ جَ٠ِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يَشْتَرِي الْ٠َالَهُ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِهِ قُلْتُ فَيَكُونُ ٠ْلُوكِ أَكْثَرَ ٠َّا اشْتَرَاهُ بِهِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِهِ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’ I then asked, ‘What happens if the assets of the slave are more than what is paid to buy the slave?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (19/241))
