Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Selling a Found Child and One Born Out of Wedlock 7- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَ٠َّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ وَلَدِ الزِّنَا أَشْتَرِيهِ أَوْ أَبِيعُهُ أَوْ أَسْتَخْدِ٠ُهُ فَقَالَ اشْتَرِهِ وَاسْتَرِقَّهُ وَاسْتَخْدِ٠ْهُ وَبِعْهُ فَأَ٠َّا اللَّقِيطُ فَلا تَشْتَرِهِ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘You can buy, sell, enslave or use his services but do not buy a discarded child that is found.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/264))
