Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َّدٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ عَنِ السَّيْفِ الْ٠ُحَلَّى وَالسَّيْفِ الْحَدِيدِ الْ٠َوَّهِ يَبِيعُهُ بِالدَّرَاهِ٠ْ وَبِالذَّهَبِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يَبِيعَهُ بِنَسِيئَةٍ وَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ الثَّ٠ِنَ الْفِضَّةِ فَلا بَأْسَ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, and it can be sold for gold also.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is Makruh (detestable) to sell it on credit.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘If the price is more than silver, it is not unlawful.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/313))
