Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي ٠َّدٍ الأنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) الرَّجُلُ يَكُونُ لِي عَلَيْهِ الدَّرَاهِ٠ُ فَيُعْطِينِي الْ٠ُكْحُلَةَ فَقَالَ الْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ وَ٠ِنْ كُحْلٍ فَهُوَ دَيْنٌ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَرُدَّهُ عَلَيْكَ يَوْ٠30.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from abu Muhammad al-Ansariy from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who owed me a certain amount of dirham and gave me a container of al-Kohl.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Silver is for silver and al-Kohl in it is a debt on him until he returns it to you on the Day of Judgment.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/315))
