Abu Ali al-Ashâariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn âAbd al-Jabbar from Safwan from ibn Muskan from al-Halabiy who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said that âAmir al-Muâminin, would write to his agents, âYou must not make Muslims to perform free labor.
Whoever of you asks for what is not obligatory, he has committed transgression and you must not give him anything.â He (âAmir al-Muâminin) would write and recommend about farmers good advice, about them and laborers on hire.ââ ØµØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (9/379))
