Muhammad ibn Jaâfar has narrated from al-âAbbas al-Kufiy from Muhammad ibn âIsa ibn âUbayd and Ali ibn Ibrahim all from Ali ibn Muhammad al-Qasaniy who has said the following: âI once wrote to him (the Imam) (abu al-Hassan, al-Thalith) from al-Madinah in the year two hundred thirty-one, saying, âI pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, a man commands another man to buy goods for him or other things which he buys but the goods are stolen or are looted on the way, from whose asset is this loss, is it from the assets of the commander or the one commanded?
He (the Imam) âAlayhi al-Salam, wrote the answer that said, âIt is from the asset of the commander.ââ ضعÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (19/433))
