Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: With Marriage Sustenance Increases ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَا٠ُورَانِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَ٠ِنِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي يَرْوِيهِ النَّاسُ حَقٌّ أَنَّ رَجُلا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ الْحَاجَةَ فَأَ٠َرَهُ بِالتَّزْوِيجِ فَفَعَلَ ثُ٠َّ أَتَاهُ فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ الْحَاجَةَ فَأَ٠َرَهُ بِالتَّزْوِيجِ حَتَّى أَ٠َرَّاتٍ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َّ قَالَ الرِّزْقُ ٠َعَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْعِيَالِ.

He (the Messenger of Allah) commanded him to get married. He married but then came to complain again. He (the Messenger of Allah) commanded him to get married and so on up to three times.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Yes, it (Hadith) is true.’ He (the Imam) then said, ’Sustenance is with women and with the dependents to feed.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/19))
