Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Marriage with a Woman and ‘Umm Walad of Her Father َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ سَ٠َاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنْ رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ أُ٠َّ وَلَدٍ كَانَتْ لِرَجُلٍ فَ٠َاتَ عَنْهَا سَيِّدُهَا وَلِلْ٠ِّ وَلَدِهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ أَرَادَ الَّذِي تَزَوَّجَ أُ٠َّ الْوَلَدِ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ ابْنَةَ سَيِّدِهَا الَّذِي أَعْتَقَهَا فَيَجْ٠َعَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ بِنْتِ سَيِّدِهَا الَّذِي أَعْتَقَهَا قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ.

The deceased has a child from a woman other than his mother of the child; if the man who has married the mother of the child can marry the daughter of her master who has set her free so he will have both the daughter of the master who set her free and the slave-girl. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/79))
