Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َهَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) نِسَاءَهُ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ أُوقِيَّةً وَنَشّاً وَالأوقِيَّةُ أَرْبَعُونَ دِرْهَ٠اً وَالنَّشُّ نِصْفُ الأوقِيَّةِ وَهُوَ عِشْرُونَ دِرْهَ٠4.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘The amount of mahr (dower) the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, paid to his wives was twelve Awqiyah and one Nashsha.

Al-Awqiyah is equal to forty dirham and one al-Nashsha is equal to one-half of al-Awqiyah which is twenty dirham.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (0/101))
