Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: A Woman offers Herself as a Gift to a Man ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْقَاسِ٠ِ الْكُوفِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْ٠ُغِيرَةِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ْرَأَةٍ وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِرَجُلٍ ٠ِينَ قَالَ إِنْ عَوَّضَهَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ ٠5.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from abu al-Qasim al-Kufiy from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from a man who has said the following: “About the case of a woman who gifts herself to a Muslim man, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If it is in exchange for something it then is correct.’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/117))
