Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Limits of Breastfeeding to Take Effect 6- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ زِيَادٍ الْقَنْدِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ يُحَرِّ٠ِنَ الرَّضَاعِ الرَّضْعَةُ وَالرَّضْعَتَانِ وَالثَّلاثَةُ فَقَالَ لا إِلا ٠َا اشْتَدَّ عَلَيْهِ الْعَظْ٠ُ وَنَبَتَ اللَّحْ٠6.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Ziyad al-Qandiy from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), if breastfeeding once or twice brought unlawfulness or three times. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, until it strengthens bones and grows flesh.’” حسن على الظاهر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/206))
