Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: After Weaning Breastfeeding does not have any Effect َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َانَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْ٠َلِكِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ الرَّضَاعُ قَبْلَ الْحَوْلَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفْطَ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from al-Fadl ibn ‘ Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Breastfeeding is effective before completion of two years of a child before weaning him.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (0/215))
