3.A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Hammad ibn âUthaman who has said the following: âI once heard abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), saying, âBreastfeeding after weaning is not effective.â I then said, âI pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what is al-Fatam (weaning)?â He (the Imam) said, âIt is the two years that Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has mentioned (in His book).â (2:233)â Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (0/215))
