Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Mahr (dower) in this form of Marriage, al-Mut‘ah َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ وَ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠َّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الأحْوَلِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َا يَتَزَوَّجُ بِهِ الْ٠ُتْعَةَ قَالَ كَفٌّ ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Barqiy from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Jawhariy from abu Sa‘id from al-Ahwal who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the minimum amount of mahr (dower) in al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage).
