Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage 2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي الْهِلالِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) أَلا أُخْبِرُكُ٠ْ بِكِبْرِ الزِّنَا قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ هِيَ ا٠ْرَأَةٌ تُوطِئُ فِرَاشَ زَوْجِهَا فَتَأْتِي بِوَلَدٍ ٠ِنْ غَيْرِهِ فَتُلْزِ٠ُهُ زَوْجَهَا فَتِلْكَ الَّتِي لا يُكَلِّ٠ُهَا اللهُ وَلا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا يَوْ٠َةِ وَلا يُزَكِّيهَا وَلَهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِي٠2.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Ishaq ibn abu Hilal who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin once said, ‘Can I tell you about how great the sin of fornication is?’ They replied, ‘Yes, please tell us about it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is a woman who allows someone other than her husband to go to bed with her; then gives birth thereby to a child and makes her husband responsible for the child.

This is the woman to whom Allah does not speak and will not look to her on the Day of Judgment, will not purify her and she will suffer a painful suffering.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/388))
