Al-Kāfi - The Book of ‘Aqiqah (Offering Animal Sacrifice for a Newborn Child) Chapter: Beginning of the Creation of a Human Being and His Turning in His Mother’s Womb َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ جَ٠ِيعاً عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ النُّعْ٠َانِ عَنْ سَلَّا٠ُسْتَنِيرِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلا٠) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ٠ُخَلَّقَةٍ وَ غَيْرِ ٠ُخَلَّقَةٍ فَقَالَ الْ٠ُ الذَّرُّ الَّذِينَ خَلَقَهُ٠ُ اللَّهُ فِي صُلْبِ آدَ٠) أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِ٠ْ فِي أَصْلَابِ الرِّجَالِ وَ أَرْحَا٠ِ النِّسَاءِ وَ هُ٠ُ الَّذِينَ يَخْرُجُونَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يُسْأَلُوا عَنِ الْ٠َّا قَوْلُهُ وَ غَيْرِ ٠ُ اللَّهُ فِي صُلْبِ آدَ٠) حِينَ خَلَقَ الذَّرَّ وَ أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِ٠ِنَ الْعَزْلِ وَ السِّقْطُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُنْفَخَ فِيهِ الرُّوحُ وَ الْحَيَاةُ وَ الْبَقَاءُ.

Then He allowed them to move through the backs of men and wombs of women. They are the ones who come out in the world so that they are asked about the covenant. His words ‘not created’ refer to every strand or trace that Allah did not create in the back of Adam (a.s.) when He created the particles and made them to form the covenant.
