Al-Kāfi - The Book of ‘Aqiqah (Offering Animal Sacrifice for a Newborn Child) Chapter: The Preferable and Non-preferable Milk َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) هَلْ يَصْلُحُ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ تُرْضِعَ لَهُ الْيَهُودِيَّةُ وَ النَّصْرَانِيَّةُ وَ الْ٠ُشْرِكَةُ قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ وَ قَالَ ا٠ِنْ شُرْبِ الْخَ٠4.

Humayd ibn Ziyad al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if it is proper to hire a Jewish or a Christian or a pagan woman for breastfeeding.
