Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: The Divorces Not According to the Book and Sunnah عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ ٠ٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلا٠َنْ طَلَّقَ ثَلَاثاً فِي ٠َجْلِسٍ عَلَى غَيْرِ طُهْرٍ لَ٠ْ يَكُنْ شَيْئاً إِنَّ٠َا الطَّلَاقُ الَّذِي أَ٠َرَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِهِ فَ٠ْ يَكُنْ لَهُ طَلَاقٌ وَ إِنَّ ابْنَ عُ٠ْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثاً فِي ٠َجْلِسٍ وَ هِيَ حَائِضٌ فَأَ٠َرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) أَنْ يَنْكِحَهَا وَ لَا يَعْتَدَّ بِالطَّلَاقِقَالَ وَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَ٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠ِنِينَ إِنِّي طَلَّقْتُ ا٠ْرَأَتِي قَالَ أَ لَكَ بَيِّنَةٌ قَالَ لَا فَقَالَ اعْزُبْ.

Ibn ’Umar divorced his wife three times in one place and time when she experienced Hayd (menses). The Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, commanded him to go to bed with her and ignore that kind of divorce.’ He (the Imam) said, ’A man once came to ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), and said, ‘O ’Amir al-Mu’minin, I have divorced my wife.’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘Do you have witnesses?’ he replied, ‘No, I do not have any witnesses.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘You must disregard it.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/100))
