Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: Divorce of a Pregnant Woman َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سَ٠َاعَةَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ هَاشِ٠َّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْحُبْلَى إِذَا طَلَّقَهَا زَوْجُهَا فَوَضَعَتْ سِقْطاً تَ٠َّ أَوْ وَضَعَتْهُ ٠ُضْغَةً قَالَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ وَضَعَتْهُ يَسْتَبِينُ أَنَّهُ حَ٠َّ فَقَدِ انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا وَ إِنْ كَانَتْ ٠9.

Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from ibn Sama‘ah from al-Husayn ibn al-FIashim and Muhammad ibn Ziyad from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajja] who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about the case of a woman who is pregnant: if her husband divorces her and she gives birth prematurely or by abortion or it is just a lump. He (the Imam) said, ‘Whatever she gives birth to shows that she was pregnant, complete or not.

Her waiting period is complete even if it is a lump.”’ وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/140))
