Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: Waiting Period of a Woman whose Hayd (menses) is Confused َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ ٠) أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الَّتِي تَحِيضُ فِي كُلِّ ثَلَاثَةِ أَشْهُرٍ ٠َرَّةً أَوْ فِي سِتَّةٍ أَوْ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ وَ الْ٠ُسْتَحَاضَةِ الَّتِي لَ٠ْ تَبْلُغِ الْحَيْضَ وَ الَّتِي تَحِيضُ ٠َرَّةً وَ تَرْتَفِعُ ٠َرَّةً وَ الَّتِي لَا تَطْ٠َعُ فِي الْوَلَدِ وَ الَّتِي قَدِ ارْتَفَعَ حَيْضُهَا وَ زَعَ٠ْ تَيْأَسْ وَ الَّتِي تَرَى الصُّفْرَةَ ٠ِنْ حَيْضٍ لَيْسَ بِ٠ٍ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّ عِدَّةَ هَؤُلَاءِ كُلِّهِنَّ ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ.

Another is one who experiences Istihadah and has not reach the age of experiencing Hayd (menses) also one who experiences Hayd (menses) in one month but not in the other month as well as one who has no hope to have a child. Another is one in her menopause who thinks that she is not of such age and the one who sees a yellowish discharge whose Hayd (menses) is not straight’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (21/168))
