Ali has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: âOnce abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the case of a man who is about to die, and he divorces his wife; if such divorce is permissible. He (the Imam) said, âYes, it is permissible and if he dies she inherits his legacy but if she dies he does not inherit her legacy.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (1/209))
