Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: Waiting Period for al-KhuP and al-Mubarat (disavowing), the Maintenance and Housing for such Women َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ رِئَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍعَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ اخْتَلَعَتْ ٠ْرَأَتُهُ أَ يَحِلُّ لَهُ أَنْ يَخْطُبَ أُخْتَهَا ٠ِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَنْقَضِيَ عِدَّةُ الْ٠ُخْتَلِعَةِ قَالَ نَعَ٠ْ قَدْ بَرِئَتْ عِصْ٠ِنْهُ وَ لَيْسَ لَهُ عَلَيْهَا رَجْعَةٌ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, because she has freed herself from the bonds of his marriage and he does not have the right to go back to her.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/242))
