Al-Hassan ibn Mahbub has narrated from âAbbad ibn Suhayb who has said the following: âA man is placed under arrest by the Imam in the case of al-Liâan (condemnation). He testifies twice, then refuses and confesses that he has lied before completing al-Li âan (condemnation). Abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said that he is whipped as the penalty for accusing the woman of committing fornication.
He is not separated from his woman.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (21/271))
