Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: Al-Li‘an (Condemnation) عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَ٠َّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ ٠ٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَفْتَرِي عَلَى ا٠ْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ يُجْلَدُ ثُ٠َّ يُخَلَّى بَيْنَهُ٠َا وَ لَا يُلَاعِنُهَا حَتَّى يَقُولَ أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُكِ تَفْعَلِينَ كَذَا وَ كَذَا.

He does not go through the process of al- Li‘an (condemnation) who then is made to say, ‘I testify that I saw you doing so and so.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (21/275))
