Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from âAbd Allah ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn âUthman from âIsa al- Qummiy who has said the following: âI once said to abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), âI shoot my arrow but I am not certain if I mentioned the name of Allah or not.â He (the Imam) said, âYou can use it for food and it is not unlawful.â I then asked, âWhat happens if I shoot and the prey disappears, then I find it with my arrow in it.
He (the Imam) said, âYou can use for food if it is not eaten yet, but if something has eaten thereof then do not use it for food.ââ جÙÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (1/347))
