Al-Kāfi - The Book of Hunting

Chapter: Hunting with Stone and Clay-ball عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَ٠َّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَ٠َّا قَتَلَ الْحَجَرُ وَ الْبُنْدُقُ أَ يُؤْكَلُ ٠4.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the prey killed with a stone or a clay-ball if it is edible. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is not edible.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (21/352))
