Al-Kāfi - The Book of Hunting

Chapter: A Man Shoots a Prey, Hits it and it Falls in Water or Rolls Down the Mountain َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ لَا تَأْكُلْ ٠ِنَ الصَّيْدِ إِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الْ٠1.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Hajjaj from Khalid ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not eat the prey that falls in water and dies.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/354))
