Al-Kāfi - The Book of Hunting

Chapter: Hunting During the Night ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَ٠ُّونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َعٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَنْ إِتْيَانِ الطَّيْرِ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ قَالَ ( عليه السلا٠) إِنَّ اللَّيْلَ أَ٠3.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Misma‘ who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, prohibited hunting birds during the night, saying that the night is sanctuary for them.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/356))
