Al-Kāfi - The Book of Slaughtering Animals for Food Chapter: The Camel and Bull Resist Slaughtering َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َانَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْ٠َلِكِ وَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠اً أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فَقَالُوا إِنَّ بَقَرَةً لَنَا غَلَبَتْنَا وَ اسْتَصْعَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا فَضَرَبْنَاهَا بِالسَّيْفِ فَأَ٠4.

Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from Ahmad ibn al-Hassan al-Mithamiy from Aban from ’Isma‘il al-Ju‘fiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a camel that falls in a well and about how to Nahr (manner of slaughtering camels) it.
