Al-Kāfi - The Book of Slaughtering Animals for Food Chapter: The Unborn Young that is Found inside the Animal Slaughtered ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ِثْلَهُ.عِدَّةٌ ٠ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْ٠َانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَ٠َاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الشَّاةِ يَذْبَحُهَا وَ فِي بَطْنِهَا وَلَدٌ وَ قَدْ أَشْعَرَ فَقَالَ ( عليه السلا٠) ذَكَاتُهُ ذَكَاةُ أُ٠4.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about a sheep which is slaughtered and its young, which has grown its wool, is found inside. He (the Imam) said, ‘Slaughtering for it is the slaughtering of its mother.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/18))
