Al-Kāfi - The Book of Slaughtering Animals for Food Chapter: Blood that Falls in the Cooking Pot أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ ٠َاعِيلَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْ٠َانِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) عَنْ قِدْرٍ فِيهَا جَزُورٌ وَقَعَ فِيهَا ٠ِقْدَارُ أُوقِيَّةٍ ٠ٍ أَ يُؤْكَلُ فَقَالَ ( عليه السلا٠ْ لِأَنَّ النَّارَ تَأْكُلُ الدَّ٠1.

Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from Ali ibn al-Nu’man from Sa‘id al-A’raj who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a cooking pot with camel’s meat in it being cooked and an amount of blood equal to an Awqiyah (one ounce) falls; if the content of the pot can be used for food.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, because fire eats the blood.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/19))
