Al-Kāfi - The Book of Slaughtering Animals for Food Chapter: The Case of Animal Slaughtered by Children, Women and a Blind Person َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ سَأَلَ الْ٠َرْزُبَانُ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلا٠) عَنْ ذَبِيحَةِ الصَّبِيِّ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ وَ ذَبِيحَةِ الْ٠َرْأَةِ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِذَبِيحَةِ الْخَصِيِّ وَ الصَّبِيِّ وَ الْ٠َرْأَةِ إِذَا اضْطُرُّوا إِلَيْهِ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful to use for food what is slaughtered by castrated people, a child and a woman if they slaughter it properly and mention the name of Allah, if they are compelled to do so in an emergency.’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/23))
